Children’s Hope Blog – April 20, 2022

Children’s Hope is a non-profit NGO that works exclusively in Haiti. Founded in 2010, Children’s Hope works to care for children through our children’s home, strengthen families through our medical clinic and schools, and serve communities through our church partnerships and ministry initiatives.

Currently, Children’s Hope cares for 56 children in our children’s home, sees 6000 patients a year in our medical clinic, and provides Christian education to more than 650 children in our 3 schools. 2021 was an extremely difficult year in Haiti with social and political unrest, natural disasters, drastic inflation, and rampant gang violence. These difficult circumstances have created even greater need in Haiti. Thankfully, Children’s Hope has been able to provide food distributions, housing, and disaster relief to those affected by these tragic events. In 2021, Children’s Hope received 6 new infants into our children’s home family, provided 13 homes for 17 refugee families escaping the violence in Port au Prince, and tripled our food distribution efforts due to the rising food costs. We have also continued our efforts to train pastors and church leaders through our Bible Training Center with 60 total graduates by 2024.

Our prayer is that God is using Children’s Hope to bring about generational and eternal change in Haiti.  You can join us on this journey of impact by praying for God to continue to protect our 56 children and all of our 136 Haitian staff members.  Pray that God would continue to provide the resources needed to continue our ministry in Haiti.
