About This Project:
Gathering Markit is a Non – Profit Grocery Market.
Each week we secure rescued food and low priced items that allow us to offer a selection of affordable fresh produce and grocery items as well as ready-made meal kits. We provide a shopping experience that extends a helping hand rather than a handout. Our customers find community and friendship, belonging and acceptance at the Markit. We fill shopping bags with healthy food options, but more importantly we want to fill hearts with HOPE.
Through ready-made meal kits and baking kits we take the stress out of budgeting and meal planning. Meal kits also provide opportunities for families to cook together, which ideally leads to eating together around the family table. Gathering Markit offers a boutique grocery shopping experience in a beautiful, welcoming environment.
Grocery prices are on the rise along with gas prices, housing and the basic cost of living. We need your help to allow us to continue to offer our families, seniors and vulnerable individuals, access to affordable healthy food. We are always looking for food producers, processors, local farmers or YOU to provide us with healthy food options or to financially stand with us as we tackle food insecurity with dignity, choice and convenience. Oftentimes our families are the ones that are falling through the cracks because they do not fit the criteria of other Social agencies. We provide an option for agencies to refer those families and individuals to us for a membership. In turn we offer our customers affordable, healthy food options and most importantly hope!
