About This Project:

We are a US based nonprofit whose sole purpose is to fund Prince of Peace Home for Girls in Guatemala. Prince of Peace is a home for girls who have been removed from their homes by the courts due to extreme trauma and abuse. At Prince of Peace, the goal is to provide a safe, loving Christian home along with an on-site school to meet educational needs plus medical / dental / psychological support to help the girls heal and become whole again and foster a life-long relationship with Jesus.

In the past, many girls stayed at Prince of Peace Home for Girls throughout their youth. Recently the Guatemalan courts have shifted their focus and to reuniting the girls with family as soon as possible. In many instances we may only have the girls for 90 days. So, while we serve about 35 girls at a time, we serve more than triple that amount in a year due to the transitions in and out of the home.

Each girl receives a full assessment upon arrival at the home – medical, physical, and psychological. A unique plan of treatment is created for each girl. These girls have had little to no previous health care, so the needs can be vast and costly. Every girl is enrolled in the on-site school and licenses, school supplies, etc. must be purchased. With new girls entering the home on an almost weekly basis, our expenses have increased significantly.

Prince of Peace Ministries operates solely on the generous support of our donors. Without you, Prince of Peace Home for Girls would not exist.
