United for Uganda was created to support Church of God missionaries in Uganda and work with leadership in Uganda to grow, develop, and fund initiatives that help the Church of God, East Africa (Uganda) flourish.
Our missionaries, Tim and Colleen Stevenson have often spoke of the difficulties that exist in Uganda, but because they believe in Africa and the vision God has given them, they remain faithful to their calling to serve in Uganda and East Africa. Another challenge is in the area of formal education. Not only are the costs that go with it prohibitive for so many, taking time away from family members and jobs to pursue such an education is a daunting pursuit.
The Stevenson’s have grown into a role that they describe as developmental missionaries. They view challenges as opportunities and have been finding creative ways to address challenges with solutions for 38 years. Core Discipleship was created to bring the education to Church of God leaders in Uganda so that they could remain working and with their families, while pursuing an education that will raise their leadership lid.
