Update
Famille de Bethlehem (Bethlehem Family) has been a registered NGO since 1981, based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The NGO is focused on caring for orphans and widows and currently works with over 130 children in two homes.
Most of these children have been orphaned or separated from their families through the circumstances of war, violence, accidents, and maternal mortality.

Urgent Needs
Over the past 6 months the impact of the pandemic has caused the situation in the DRC to become increasingly difficult. The price of food has increased by 30%, putting pressure on families who are now unable to care for extra children. This has resulted in more children coming into the homes either temporarily or permanently.
We are looking for an additional 25 sponsors to give regularly to Bethlehem Family, so another 25 children can receive the consistent support they need to flourish. Sponsorship ensures they can go to school, receive nutritious food vital to their growth and development, and have their health care needs attended to when they get sick.
Our Ministry
Bethlehem Family works to ensure that children have access to health care, schooling, school uniforms and regular nutrition. These children grow up in a stable, loving environment, with hope for their future, and a place to call home. This is made possible through donations from people in Canada and from around the world.
