Sharon and I are now in our 5th year at this location in the Grey Bruce. This means we have been here long enough to see people and marriages restored and have them willing to share their story with others. This is very important for Water’s Edge ministry going forward because working exclusively with hurting marriages, individuals and struggling ministries, it is difficult to share what God is up to until the people are ready and willing to share. That level of healing takes time, as well as fighting the embarrassment of sharing such stories, and we are very sensitive to this. We are very private in our ministry for obvious reasons. Isn’t it amazing when people have been through incredible hurts, yet are ready to share their story and even encourage others to seek God’s healing through Biblical counsel!!

By not charging for our services, we are open to whoever wants to come through our doors. This has brought us people who wouldn’t normally seek help, or hang in there as long, because money is an issue. With word spreading about our services, we are pleased to have many non-churched people seeking support.

We ministered to some couples who have shared their experience with other non-churched friends – and here we are! We are excited to have had the privilege of baptizing a couple recently who had decided to commit their lives to Jesus. They are still working through major struggles, but now they have God in their lives!

We’ve been managing a very wide range of issues like abuse, adultery, family fighting, death, addiction, etc…. So, it has been very important for Sharon and I to keep up our reading and other education.

You can help bring restoration and healing to hurting people by supporting the Biblical counseling services we provide at no charge. The funds that we raise each month goes towards salary, training, travel, insurances and resources.   It would be great to see our monthly donor base increase in number. It is amazing what a lot of people giving a little can accomplish! Individuals most commonly give $50-$250 per month. Churches and businesses tend to support us from $100-$500 per month. We’d love to see more people and churches join our sponsor team to support families, individuals, and ministries in crisis.

1. For the many hurting people we work with daily, that they would find God and God’s healing in their lives and relationships.

3. We have two daughters getting married this year – WOW! Prayers of thanks that they found great Christian men to marry. Also, for the opportunity to support them and handle our other monthly financial challenges.
