2022 Year-End Overview
Association of Christian Camps and Conference Centers also known as Christian Camping International Ukraine is a Ukraine-based not-for-profit organization with the mission to help build the Church by being a network maximizing the ministry of Christian camps and camp leaders. In operation since 1996, as of this year we serve 657 Christian camps in Ukraine and 43 camps in several other countries of Eurasia.
Our Ministry
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 we have been coordinating evacuation efforts carried out by Christian camps and providing financial assistance to Christian camps and conference centers in Ukraine to help the camps that host refugees cover utility bills, purchase bed linen, washing machines, laundry detergent, heating boilers, fuel, food, and winterise camp facilities where refugees live.
We have also been sponsoring children and youth to attend Christian camps by providing camper sponsorship funds directly to camps and depending on the camps to select the eligible campers. In the summer of 2022, 217 camps that are part of our network hosted over 40,000 children and youth who found refuge, received care and experienced God’s love in these camps.
Urgent Needs
As a result of Russia’s bombing of the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, over 45% of Ukraine’s electrical power plants, central heating systems, and water supply networks have been damaged. We have established an Emergency Fund and have already responded to the needs of 12 Christian camps hosting 1,140 refugees by sponsoring heating boilers, fuel, and the winterising of facilities. More funding is needed to help these and other camps to navigate through the winter. To accommodate and feed one person per day at camp during winter costs 5 USD. During this #GivingTuesday campaign we wish to raise $70,000.
Henry Blackaby and Claude King have written “Experiencing God” that has a simple but challenging message: “Watch to see where God is at work and join Him there”.
Thank you for considering joining God’s work done in Ukraine through the Association of Christian Camps and Conference Centers by sending your donations to support the ministry of Christian camps in Ukraine during the war.
