Marital Redemption: They had come to a crossroads. She was done, sobbing and feeling the need to leave her husband with the two children. He felt stuck and hopeless as he had had another relapse into a deep-seated porn addiction which brought her immeasurable trauma again. What started with talk of separation and how to move on apart, began to shift over time and with some hard work. Accountability. Authenticity. Coming clean and rebuilding trust. They faced real issues. They made amends. They started to pray together every night. Now, only six months [...]

How Ministry Projects Can Put Your Church at Risk

The pandemic has had many effects on our world globally, many negative but some positive. One outcome is the increased public awareness and the supportive response of individuals and churches to provide for the desperate needs of many developing nations and impoverished communities around the world. You may relate to this, perhaps your church or church members have come together with a desire to bring change and impact lives in a particularly needy area. Whether the desire of a church and its members to be involved in international missions was strong pre-pandemic or the pandemic was the catalyst [...]

Water’s Edge Ministries Blog – Mar 10, 2021

Sharon and I are now in our 5th year at this location in the Grey Bruce. This means we have been here long enough to see people and marriages restored and have them willing to share their story with others. This is very important for Water’s Edge ministry going forward because working exclusively with hurting marriages, individuals and struggling ministries, it is difficult to share what God is up to until the people are ready and willing to share. That level of healing takes time, as well as fighting the embarrassment of sharing such [...]

Paradise Church in Puerto Vallarta Blog – Mar 3, 2021

Paradise Church in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has three main mission emphasis. Number one, we are an English-speaking church that reaches out to expatriates and vacationers from Canada and the United States. But of course, some bilingual Mexicans are also part of our church. Secondly, we partner with local churches and pastors, specifically smaller churches, and church plants, to help them grow and reach out compassionately in their neighborhoods. Thirdly, we are bridge builders, receiving mission teams from North America and connecting them to our local church partners. Because 90% of the economy of Puerto [...]

International House Of Prayer Blog – Feb 24, 2021

At the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri we have the exciting privilege to maintain a 24/7 prayer room, bringing together live worship, intercession and missions in partnership with global missions organizations. In this vibrant context of singing the Bible, we agree with God’s heart for this city and the nations of the world. From that place I minister to youth on the streets of KC through discipleship programs and various local outreaches. Bombarded with a culture bent against the will of God, inundated with confusing messages, songs, and lifestyles, as a full-time [...]

PiFò Haiti – Blog Jan 27, 2021

Wawa and Zette are two elderly women who live on the island of La Gonâve. Due to food being scarcer than usual, these women came to our local partners looking for assistance. We are grateful for our Program Manager, Emerson Dalmas, who was able to purchase food with emergency funds provided and deliver it to these families. Wawa came down from the mountains and Zette, who is blind, came from the "Saline" which is the poorest area of the city. They were so thankful and wanted everyone who supports PiFò Haiti to know they are praying for them [...]
