About This Project:
“As of May 2022, 100 million individuals were forcibly displaced worldwide, leaving behind their families, places of employment, communities, and homes. Tens of thousands of these individuals have arrived in Canada filled with uncertainty, trauma, and a loss of hope.”
Feels Like Home Newcomers wholeheartedly honors refugees and vulnerable immigrants by providing programs and services in a safe, welcoming, and supportive community of belonging. It is our aim to empower each individual in their quest for meaningful connection, personal development, and overall well-being. We offer Literacy and Life Skill classes, early years programming, and parenting courses from a trauma informed perspective and work as a team to meet the urgent needs of clients through our outreach and food program. Our deep desire is to extend heartfelt support and to nurture an inclusive, relationally based environment where each participant can flourish and the community thrives.
