GVCM operates throughout rural Haiti, but mostly in the central plateau region.
Our campus is located in Mirebalias, Haiti.

GVCM is a network of 70 rural churches in Haiti. Our ministry was intentionally developed around the local church because we believe God has ordained the church to transform the world. The local church can gauge the needs in its community and use the people within the church to meet those needs. We equip the local churches in our network with financial support to operate, provide new buildings when possible, and invest spiritually in the leadership. We hold three or four pastor conferences each year with over 90 pastors in attendance. This allows them to develop a deeper understanding of God’s Word that they can share with their congregation. The influence of our local churches is immense. We have seen voodoo on the decline in the rural areas where we serve and several voodoo priests have surrendered their lives to Jesus. As an agent of the Great Commission Foundation, we are able to support and grow these churches to continue to spread the gospel in the darkest parts of Haiti.

GVCM is impacting rural communities in Haiti through practical projects. A critical need in Haiti is affordable health care. Our medical clinic just outside our Mirebalais campus treats up to 1,000 patients a month. The clinic has an all-Haitian staff and provides quality medical care, pharmacy, and lab services. Patients pay $1.00 (or less) per visit which pays for about half the cost of operating the clinic. GVCM is also dedicated to providing clean water. We have drilled and maintain over 20 community wells in safe, public places. We usually drill wells on the property of one of our churches, so that when people come to get clean water, they may also experience the living water. Children are healthier and safer because of clean water.

“Before we had this well, in rainy season, the horses made tracks in the muddy soil, the rainy water sat there, and people went to get this water and drank it. During the dry season, we left our homes every night at 10 o’clock to go find water far away and returned at 2 o’clock. We didn’t have time to sleep. Now, God gave us this gift of a well so we can sleep and so we don’t lose our hair from carrying buckets of water on our heads. Thank you very much for this water! GVCM knows the importance of impacting the next generation in Haiti. We support children through 24 Christian schools and orphanage which is home to 130 children. We provide over 7,000 students with an education so they can realize their economic and intellectual potential. We also teach them the Word of God and empower them to read it for themselves. The children at our orphanage vary in age from toddlers to young adults and we strive to give them a better future than they could have imagined. We recently opened a vocational school at our orphanage to train our older students in carpentry and sewing. This will equip them with skills for future success.


Prayer Request:

For the country of Haiti to have peace and stability within their government. For the violence and civil unrest to come to an end. For those living in extreme poverty to be cared for and for the hope of Christ to permeate their homes. Pray for our ministry leaders to persevere through the great challenges we face in Haiti, emotionally, spiritually, and economically. Pray for the children in our orphanage and our schools to know and grow in the Lord and to become future Christian leaders in Haiti, bringing change and revival to this country.
