About This Project:
Glow Evangelical Ministries Girls School (GEMS) is a very important and critical ministry project, and currently works with about 45 girls (12 – 16 of age). The girls participate in regular daily devotions and church meetings. They attend English, Arabic, math, and computer classes. As well, they receive vocational training with options that include sewing, make-up application, hairdressing, baking, and more. The reason for this project is to protect these girls from early marriage (parent’s influence), from labour work in fields, and from succumbing to the temptations and evil things of the world.
It can be challenging to keep the girls in a safe atmosphere. We even find that some parents do not understand the benefits of providing the girls with a Christian foundation and worldview to help them navigate life. However, the girls are dedicated to attending the classes and church meetings, they are eager to learn and grow.
Why give to this project?
Our leadership prays not only for the girls but that God will help us to witness to their parents as well. We desire to help the girls and their families come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please consider supporting this important ministry both prayerfully and financially.
