Where we live and work here in Romania is only about 250km from the Ukrainian border - a border that’s now flooded with Ukrainian refugees trying to escape war. Children’s Hope is a non-profit NGO that works exclusively in Haiti. Founded in 2010, Children’s Hope works to care for children through our children’s home, strengthen families through our medical clinic and schools, and serve communities through our church partnerships and ministry initiatives. On February 24, a real war broke out in Ukraine. The Russian dictator Putin launched a brutal rocket attack on several cities in the country, a huge number of tanks and other military equipment entered our land, and there were attempts to seize airports and land troops in various parts of the country. Greetings from Port-Salut, Haiti. More For Haiti’s goal is to help organisations develop a trade school, a much-needed educational program. Presently, when children finish high school, they have a head full of information, no practical training, and little opportunities to find work. Over the past three and a half years, we have come alongside five organisations and have provided computer science training, practical physics, and electronic courses, to students who are of age to teach these courses to others. Josiah Venture is responding to the urgent crisis in Ukraine in two ways: by supporting the work of our team on the ground inside Ukraine and by assisting Ukrainian refugees as they move into neighboring countries. Caminul Felix Romania is a charitable organization that provides a family, education, emotional and spiritual support to over 200 abandoned children, by bringing them together with a mother and a father who are called to raise them as their own, in the 16 houses located in the 2 campuses near the city of Oradea. This model has proven to give maximum results as it is offering support in the psycho-emotional development of these children and at the same time, giving them the chance to a future.
