George and Susan Watts live and serve at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya, a school for the children of missionaries serving in Africa. For over 100 years RVA has stood by its mission of “Educating and discipling students toward their potential in Christ thus enabling families to serve.” RVA plays an absolutely vital role in so many missionary families being able to stay in Africa. Without RVA, many doctors, church planters, evangelists, Bible translators, teachers, engineers, and others would have to return to their home country for their children’s education.
One of the Watts’ main roles is to serve as dorm parents, the primary spiritual, emotional, and social support for the boarding students. George and Susan also teach in the high school and serve in other ways by supporting the students, and administration of the school.
RVA is a very unique support for African missions – and since all the staff at RVA are 100% support raising and not paid by the school – RVA is able to offer affordable, quality education to missionary families around the continent. Having sent their own children to RVA when they were serving as missionaries in Burundi and Rwanda, the Watts know first-hand the value of RVA, and the critical role a dorm parent plays in the life of a child.
Please help provide for these missionary families by supporting the Watts in their roles at RVA.
