COVID-19 Crisis Response Christian Hope Community Association operates Eden Christian Centre, an educational program that serves students in Barahona, Dominican Republic. As you can imagine, the COVID-19 crisis has caused us to suspend school indefinitely. Our doors have been closed since March 18th under the direction of the Dominican government. Since 2011 we have been working alongside locals on the island of La Gonâve, 25 km off the coast of mainland Haiti. There are currently 175 children relying on PiFò Haiti’s Food Program as well as 500 students and teachers who receive and provide quality education in 4 different schools.
