Up to 45,000 South Africans are expected to die from  COVID-19 over the next two to three years. South Africa is home to 3.5 million vulnerable children who need a new family, shelter, or care. During the time that ECOL’s Christian schools in Liberia are closed, we are trying desperately to provide enough financial support for their 93 teachers (at 9 schools) so that they can feed their families. Since 2018, we have been assisting them with a small amount of salary subsidy from September to June when most of the pay comes from student fees and then provide their income for July and August.
