Update At the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) we believe that all of Africa should have access to compassionate surgical care and the healing power of Jesus Christ. Update Kroo Bay, and the children and youth that live there, were negatively impacted by government restrictions and implications resulting from COVID-19. Many of the families in Kroo Bay depend on market selling/trading for their livelihoods. For many months of this year, there were restrictions at local markets and businesses that decreased earnings, and increased food insecurity for the sellers/traders and their families. During the months where COVID-19 was the worst in Sierra Leone, we had to shut down many of our programs to protect the community.
