Children’s Hope serves children and families in desperate need in Haiti. We care for 50 orphaned and abandoned children. We partner with dozens of Haitian churches to meet needs and make disciples of Jesus in their communities. And especially relevant in this season- we provide critical healthcare to thousands in our surrounding community through our medical/dental clinic. PiFò Haiti – COVID-19 Crisis Update
Since 2011 we have been working alongside locals on the island of La Gonâve, 25 km off the coast of mainland Haiti. There are currently 175 children relying on PiFò Haiti’s Food Program as well as 500 students and teachers who receive and provide quality education in 4 different schools. Our focus is to help local leaders create a sustainable future in their community through education and development programs. We work in collaboration with ministry projects in developing nations, many are working with the ultra-poor and are experiencing limited government support. Our hearts and prayers go out to our Ministry Agents and the communities in which they serve. The necessity of physical distancing and business closures is having severe consequences on the ultra-poor. We continue to hear heartbreaking stories from our Agents who are in areas where many people rely on that day’s wages to provide a meal for their family, and with no work available, the hunger crisis is looming.
